An unusual gourd shaped vase by German artist Géo Wagner.
The body in all-over mottled, matte green glaze, the "stem" with applied, undulating, open-mouthed dragon at the neck taking the form of a handle, accented beneath with a dripped, glossy, red glaze which seems to flow from the dragon itself.
A similar vase was exhibited at La Société des Artistes Francais in 1902.
