The Maple Leaf Shade, depicting a series of stylized maple leaves, each articulated in a different selection of Tiffany Glass ranging from pale mottled green to nearly opaque dark green glass, providing a pleasing contrast throughout the shade. Two horizontal registers of leaves are arrayed against a background of sky ranging from cornflower blue near the crown of the shade to a richly mottled moonstone-gray near the rim. The lower register of the shade features a "border row" comprised of a series of falling "samaras," the distinctive paired seed pods of the Maple tree, which are also interspersed throughout the leaves.
The shade is paired with a bronze tree trunk table base in a rich brown patina.
Both the shade and base of this original Tiffany lamp are signed.
